Class of 2011 Inductee Exhibits *

The six newest members of the World Golf Hall of Fame now have their personal memorabilia on display in Shell Hall. Ernie Els, Doug Ford, Jumbo Ozaki, the late Jock Hutchison, the late Frank Chirkinian, and former President George H.W. Bush all have their own Inductee Case in Shell Hall and locker in the Member Locker Room. With features like Bush’s cowboy boots with golf spikes, the putter Els used to win the 1997 U.S. Open and Ford’s green jacket from the 1957 Masters, these displays showcase the careers and personal lives of the Class of 2011, and give an intimate look into each of their paths to receiving golf’s highest honor.

Nancy Lopez: Pride, Passion and Personality

The Hall of Fame’s latest special member exhibit features one of the LPGA’s most successful and charismatic players. The exhibition displays more than 150 pieces of memorabilia from Lopez’s electric career. The memorabilia ranges from her first communion veil to her many LPGA Championship trophies. Other highlights are her trophy from the inaugural Solheim Cup and the legendary Ray Cook putter she used to win so many of her 48 LPGA titles. While the exhibit features Lopez’s accomplishments on the course, it also shows the honest, engaging and entertaining persona that so deeply connected her to golf fans worldwide.

* But coming soon …  Class of 2012

The Class of 2012 — Phil Mickelson, Hollis Stacy, Dan Jenkins, Sandy Lyle and Peter Alliss –will receive golf’s highest honor on May 7, 2012.
